Mount Holly Church is honored to help those in our community by utilizing our food pantry to provide food and other items at no cost to families and individuals needing assistance. The food pantry aims to decrease the impact that food insecurities have placed on families and help alleviate hunger within our community.

No Appointment Required

Open to all

The food pantry is open bi-weekly, and we’re happy to help anyone in need, regardless of spiritual background or financial situation. The FAQ list below will help answer the most common questions we receive, but you can get in touch with us if you have more questions.

The food pantry may be closed on weeks with national holidays or school closings when the church is also closed. This page will be updated with any closings that take place.

Help us continue being the hands and feet of Jesus by donating items to the food pantry.

Pantry FAQs

  • The food pantry operates on our church’s campus, located at 4685 N Highway 27, at the church offices. See this image for reference.

  • When the pantry opens, please enter the building. Volunteers will be ready to assist you with signing in. Once you’ve signed in, you’ll be given directions on what to do next.

  • Anyone in need can receive food — unemployed/underemployed, temporarily out of work, receiving SNAP (food stamp) benefits, elderly, disabled, etc. The food pantry is open to all.

  • Appointments are not required, but you will need to register on your first visit with the required documentation (see the next question for details).

  • You will need to bring BOTH a government-issued ID and proof of residence (current water or electricity bill) on your first visit. Credit card statements and letters are not acceptable proof of residence.

  • No. Many people are facing temporary setbacks (reduced hours at work, layoffs, emergencies) or significant events (loss of residence, major illnesses) that may require extra food for the household. Your financial situation will never disqualify you from receiving assistance.

  • No, all items you receive are free of charge.

  • You will be allowed to visit the pantry once per month. The pantry will be open twice a month, typically the first and third week.

  • To help assist as many people as possible, we will be providing one bag of food per household (subject to change depending on food availability). We will assess emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

  • We will provide canned meats and vegetables, dried foods (pasta, beans, cereal, bread, baking supplies, etc.), bottled water (CPAP, baby, drinking), and fresh vegetables and fruits (in season).

  • Yes, items including deodorant, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, toilet paper, and socks are available.

  • We are unable to provide more than the one-bag limit per family.

Get in touch with us if you have more questions.
